New Reception Intake 2020

Head of Academy Welcome

As Head of Academy, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the school, our Ilsham family and to the Learning Academy Partnership. I feel incredibly lucky to serve such a special and unique community and to be given the opportunity to enable your child to flourish and grow alongside an incredibly talented and dedicated team that we have here at Ilsham. We are so excited that your child is joining us.

At the heart of Ilsham, is the vision that every child will succeed and reach their potential. We recognise the uniqueness and talents of every member of our school family and we celebrate this success in many ways. We all very much value the importance of strong home-school partnership and in acknowledging the impact of this partnership on children’s happiness, achievements and their personal growth.

We are thrilled that you have chosen Ilsham C of E Academy for your child to begin their journey into primary education.

Please also visit other pages on our website, our Twitter page @IlshamLAP or our new Facebook page to find out more about our wonderful academy.

Best wishes,

Starting Mathematics

Through play and experience, your children will also receive an outstanding Mathematics education in EYFS. There are fantastic resources to support their learning and understanding of numbers. One particular resource that we recommend is Numberblocks. We do utilise this at school and some parents choose to watch series one before their children join us here as it is a great starting point.
