The children of Ilsham Academy entered designs to be baked and produced for the local community as a gift from the school. The children were joined by our Trust Catering Manager, Mrs Keiller. They all adopted the winning design from Year 6 pupil, Francesca, and worked together to prepare gingerbread Ilsham Bells and Pudsey the Bear biscuits as the gifts were delivered on Children in Need day.
Every child who produced a design was involved in every stage of the process from start to finish. Lots of fun was had with the preparation and decoration before hand delivering each gift with a handwritten message from the children.
Interim Head of Academy, Mr Grinsill, said: “we are unique in our location, rooted in and amongst our community. As we recover from the pandemic, we wanted to take the opportunity to reconnect and open up a world of further opportunities for our children, which exist right on our doorstep.”
