We are so very proud to announce that Ilsham Academy has been awarded the Reading for Pleasure Gold Quality Mark! After a year of rigorous assessment, undertaken by independent reviewers on behalf of the UKLA and Open University, we have been recognised for our efforts and achievements in embedding a RfP culture in our school.
In a letter from the UKLA and Open University, it was commented that
“You are at the vanguard of documenting reading for pleasure nationally… the moderation process involved independent reviewers reading the impact case studies and frameworks. They then met to moderate their perspectives with regard to the criteria. Moderators focused on evidence of impact, the strength of that evidence and the range of dates of sources used.
These efforts have been spearheaded by Mrs Rivolta, and we congratulate her on this amazing success!
