Welcome to the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) of Ilsham Academy.

We all want our children to have the very best time at our wonderful school and by working together we can make a difference.

The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association make that difference by raising funds for educational activities for all our children and also creating enjoyable social events.

All of our fundraising activities directly benefit our children. Throughout the year the PTFA support the school at various events:

• Sports Day – We provide the fruit and water for the children
• Year 6 leavers – When your child reaches year 6, the PTFA pay for a bowling trip and also provide the leavers with a gift such as a book token
• Christmas Party Day – The PTFA pay for an entertainer for the children and provide crackers etc. for the Children’s Christmas lunch
• The PTFA provide each class with a one-off annual contribution towards a fun activity for their class

Some of our other great fundraising events include the School Disco, Easter Tea, Summer & Christmas fairs, cake sales, ice cream sales, Bags2School and much more.

The PTFA are also involved in helping run the school Book Fairs and the New Pupil/Parent induction events, and we provide teas and coffees for parents at various school occasions throughout the year.

There are many ways you can help us to make a difference too.

We welcome any help you can offer at any time, baking (or donating) cakes, helping out at the Summer and Christmas fairs or serving teas and coffees at an event.  We always welcome new ideas and suggestions and it’s a great way to become involved in your child’s school life!

We have meetings in school from time to time, which are notified by parent texts. You are always welcome to come along.

I am always happy to speak to anyone regarding the PTFA.  If you cannot locate me in the key stage 2 playground you can leave a message for me in the office and I will get back to you.
